Natalia's Author Journey Begins: School Recognition, Bookstore Visits & What's Next

✦A Special School Moment

This has been a very special season for Natalia. As the school year came to an end, her book was recognized by her teacher and dyslexia teacher, and there was even a school-wide announcement over the speakers sharing that Natalia Macias, from 4th grade in Ms. Palermo's class, published a book.

For our family, that moment meant a lot. Natalia's journey reminds us that dyslexia does not limit imagination. Her creativity, drawings, storytelling, and courage helped turn an idea into a real book that is now reaching readers.

✦The First Copies Are Reaching Readers

The first copies are now reaching readers, with around 25 copies sold so far. We've also started visiting local bookstores in Houston to introduce the book, learn about consignment opportunities, and share Natalia's story with the community.

These first steps are helping us learn how to bring Natalia's story into more hands, one conversation at a time.

✦What's Coming Next

A few things are already in motion.

• ✦The coloring book companion is being prepared as a fun way for younger kids to enter the world of The Legend and the 3 Capybaras.
• ✦We are exploring an audiobook version, including options for narration and production.
• ✦We are also planning to participate in the East End Farmers Market on Navigation Blvd on July 19, where we hope people can support, visit, and share Natalia's book journey.

✦A Hint of the Next Adventure

And yes… another story is already growing.

Natalia has been imagining a new adventure called Sea Squad vs. Sea Quad, with a possible release planned for Q4 2026.
